Compassionate Science

I am not a very compassionate person. I care, however as far as compassionate science and doing something good for somebody, its rare for me to actually do something. I'm a big believer in loving what you do and I think that compassionate scientists are not only smart but love to create evolution and help others. For me, I really have to love something to actually attempt to make an impact or drastically change something bad for the better; if I don't extremely care about it, I won't change it. I think I'm this way because my dad is big on getting a job that matters instead of something that matters to me. He still however encourages me to follow my dreams and aspirations. A bit confusing, right?

As of right now, with what I've learned in school, I think I can start to make a change in the computer science fields. I still have so much more to learn but I think I can start by exploring into the issues that need attention around the world. I'm still quite young and can impact the world with my actions. Science is definitely not my favorite subject, but I do love computers and will give it a shot if it means doing something I love and something that I can grow with.

The Future!

1,000 years from now humans will have become rare. Due to too much fast food, trash, and bad breathing conditions, humans will be forced to leave to space. The humans that stay in Earth will be working on the Earth to make it chrome. Everything will be chrome. Shiny and fake. There will be filters set up around to world to monitor the air and purify it instead of trees. Along with those filters, we will find that the oceans are being used as pools for the rich and we must all share the Pacific ocean because all the rich people own the other oceans around the world. The food will be all liquid and solid foods will have become extinct because of safety/choking hazards. Disneyland will be expanded to Northern California and holograms of Walt Disney will greet guests and the parades and shows will be more spectacular than ever. Everybody will live their choice of a one-story or two-story house and have a family limit of 5 kids. You will be able to genetically engineer your dream baby and create your perfect family, or not. All up to you.

One Time I Laughed Really, Really Hard

For New Years Eve, my parents left to Mexico. All my siblings went their own way; Rocio went with her long-time boyfriend Geo and Kimberly went with her boyfriend Ernie. I went with my best friend because I figured what better way to bring in the new year than with one of my favorite persons of all time. They had a mechanical bull. I swear that was the funnest New Years Eve I've had, it is definitely in the top 10 best New Years Eve for me. I know most of my best friend's family and while I was familiar with them, I was kind of shy to ride the mechanical bull. Finally after some convincing, I agreed to go on the bull. It was the FUNNIEST thing ever; if you haven't ridden a mechanical bull with your best friend, you need to add that on your bucket list because oh my god it is so funny. We were both wearing cowboy hats and her uncle Victor was controlling the speed that the bull moved. It only took a few spins until we fell off, but we were still holding on to dear life. She fell on top of me and thankfully someone captured a picture of it because our faces look priceless. It doesn't sound funny when you read it, but it was something that you had to be there to understand why it was funny. We then proceeded to go on the bull 3 more times and I even went on by myself. It was such a fun night and I'm glad I got to experience that with my best friend. I slept over at her house too and it was just a night full of joy and will be one of my favorite memories with her.

My Review on Modern Times

I enjoyed Modern Times; Chaplin put on a wonderful performance. His acting was phenomenal and he made a good point about how workers don't really have a voice and its only the boss that has a say in what you can and cannot do. I thought the character was funny and the movie had a lot of messages embedded into it. One message that Chaplin gave was to keep smiling, even during the hard times. I personally really liked that message because it gives positivity to the audience and reminds one that everybody has their own struggles and its important not to let those struggles take up all your happiness because you will overcome them. As a comedy, I think the movie was great; it touched base with different kinds of humor and made sure that everybody laughed at something. Would I watch it again? Yes, more than likely. I will probably watch it on a rainy day when I want to get in a good mood. Honestly, it was the first silent film by Chaplin that I had ever seen and I loved it.
